How amazing is this little one? I am just so happy that everything worked out together for this session, you see, normally the parents bring all the decor, including the cake for the cake smash, they get to choose their own ideas and I just put everything together when they arrive… But this time was different, this mom contacted me and explained that being new to the country she did not have much knowledge of where to go shopping for things like these, so she asked me to put something together for her.. and I had SO much fun doing it too, she sent me a few ideas from Pinterest for inspiration and I knew right away what I needed to do… we wanted a semi-naked cake ( Yes, that is a thing!) and right away I knew to contact Sea Salt & Cinnamon for this, they provided the cake for one of my 2017 weddings and I felt in love with how they prepared the cake… they were so helpful in the process too, making my job so much easier!
I knew I wanted some greenery and maybe just a hint of color, but I had no clue of names and things related to flowers and since I am a visual person, I stopped at my local Oberer’s in Carmel and I literally just put a bunch of greens together for what I wanted.
I arrived about 2 hours early to my studio in Noblesville ( and I am so glad I did ) to organize and make the hanging-thingy, lots of flower wire and a big mess… it was a hit and miss, but at the end, I just LOVE how cute this setup was… Little Catarina loved her cake and she had a lot of fun too as you will see in the pictures 🙂
